FAIRBANKS ICE MUSEUM

Fairbanks Ice Museum

500 2nd Avenue, 907.451.8222

A well-kept secret about Fairbanks is that we are home to the most magnificent ice carving competition on the planet. Every March, international contestants convene and carve beautiful, extraordinary and huge sculptures. Come experience Alaska’s winter in the summer! View life-sized ice sculptures carved by local artists in the historic Lacey Street Theatre. Photo opportunities in the Ice Showcase, ice carving demonstrations and slide shows at the top of every hour. Don’t miss our spectacular hour-long presentation on the aurora every night at 8pm. Open at 10am on weekdays. Open ‘til 9pm on weekdays. Open Sundays.
