MIDNIGHT SUN SUCCESS

The Downtown Association of Fairbanks is proud to announce another successful BP Midnight Sun Festival. Despite the weather, vendor and performer participation was higher than ever, spirtits were up and it was awesome to see the streets of downtown Fairbanks transformed. Our community came out to support the event as part of their Summer Solstice weekend traditions.

This downtown tradition was made possible by the amazing support of our sponsors, downtown businesses, performers, vendors and volunteers. We’d like to extend special thanks to Portia Fenton, Bart LeBon, JT, Tineke Kezer, Meghan Frye, Joanna Wallace, Jay Graham, Derek Kuntz, Atticus Geiger, Isaiah Mangum, Sally Gustafson, Lauren Hatty, Vivian Stiver, Randy, Festival Fairbanks, Dick Brickley, The Golden Heart Greeters, Dianne Christiansen, Talent Sponsors-Dance Theatre Fairbanks, Ben Boyd, 3 Days Notice, Cattail and the Arments, DJ Double X, Janelle Wilhem and the Community Service Patrol, Volunteers in Policing, Fairbanks Parking Authority, Powerhouse Signs, West Valley Football Booster’s Club, Girl Scouts Troop #99, Midnight Sun Swim Team, Senator Joe Paskvan, State Representative Jay Ramras, Governor Sean Parnell, City of Fairbanks, Public Works, Fairbanks Police Department and the Fairbanks Fire Department.

For those of you who attended the festival your input is important to us. Please fill out this survey so we can make the 2011 festival the best it can be. You are also welcome to join us on Wednesday, July 7th at 6:00pm for a Midnight Sun Festival Event Recap.
